The Family
Domestic Authority
Your home and your child’s education are the primary spheres of your calling. We equip parents to take back active responsibility for their family’s digital life, distracting their educational foundations, and moving from passive consumption to intentional formation.
The iPhone was launched on 29th June 2007, and almost immediately revolutionised global communications. It took 3.7 years to sell 100 million units. Yet only now–just under 20 years later–is the mainstream media and public square talking seriously about the potential negative impact of smartphone use on our mental health, particularly children.
Of course it’s not just iPhones, it’s an assortment of smartphones, tablets and other media devices that cause much concern for parents.
Roughly two-in-five parents struggle to police their own child’s screen-time, rising to one-in-two for teenagers. The struggle is real. And 75 per cent of parents rate excessive screen-time as a top national child-health problem in the United States. It’s only slightly lower in the UK at 50 per cent.
Yet, it’s easy to present a wealth of data, capturing the problem, but this is not always a help to you, day-to-day. There is a natural desire for relief from the frustration of dealing with a hyperactive child, whilst seeking a brief moment of tranquillity. In such situations, YouTube often emerges as a sanctuary; a perceived remedy to the challenge of exhaustion.
If this is you, know you are not alone.
Through 1 on 1 or Group Coaching, we can help you take a different approach. Not berating you, in this extremely difficult-to-navigate situation. But in an empowering way to help understand that a multi-year problem is not going to be solved in thirty minutes.
There is no one-size-fits-all. Through understanding your own digital device use, you own motivations, and beliefs (limiting or otherwise,) about technology–and your parenting, we can help empower you to take back control. To take small steps to align your families attention to your own shared values.

Take five minutes to gently examine how screens are shaping your home’s daily rhythms. This brief assessment helps you see where digital habits are serving your family life—and where they’re quietly pulling you away from presence, rest, and shared connection.

“The education of the children in the family sphere shows an irreducible inner nature and cannot be really replaced by any form of education which lacks this character.”
